The Forum for Local Youth Impact (FLY!) is an initiative led by ALDA – European Association for Local Democracy and co-organised with the Municipality of Valongo. It brings together local authorities, youth organisations, municipal youth councils, young elected representatives, youth workers, policymakers, researchers, and other European stakeholders with the aim of fostering reflection on the future of youth participation and democratic engagement at both local and European levels.

The event will focus on the evolution of the European framework for youth participation, addressing, among other topics, the revision of the European Union Youth Strategy, the future of the Erasmus+ programme, and the role of local authorities and civil society in empowering young people.

The Forum will take place at the Oficina da Regueifa e do Biscoito de Valongo on 15 and 16 October. We kindly ask you to register as soon as possible, as places are limited.

The official language of the event will be English, and simultaneous interpretation will not be provided.
